The Town of Pine Plains Dog Control Office is in charge of enforcing both New York State Ag & Markets and Local Dog laws. Our dog control officer responds to various dog-related incidents within the Town of Pine Plains, including stray dogs, dog bites, barking complaints and the enforcement of licensing requirements.

Dog Complaints or Concerns

If you have a complain of concern regarding a dog-related incident, please contact our Dog Control Officer. If you are directed to the Dog Control Officer’s voicemail, please leave a detailed message, including your contact information. Voicemails are regularly monitored. If it is an emergency call 911.

Dogs more than four months old must be licensed to an adult owner at least 18 years of age. Licenses are available at the Town Clerks Office.
